How to connect your broker
Last updated: 2026-08-23
Bridge Copy Trade routes orders to your own brokerage account. We never hold your funds and we never see your broker password. Connection happens through SnapTrade, a regulated brokerage-connection provider used by many trading apps, which supports Webull and other major U.S. brokers.
Before you start
- A funded live brokerage account with options trading enabled (level permitting long calls/puts).
- One account per Bridge customer. Multiple simultaneous broker accounts on one subscription aren't supported.
- Prop-firm / funded-challenge accounts are not allowed. Copy-trading into evaluation or funded prop accounts violates those firms' rules and Bridge blocks it (you accepted this at signup).
Connecting
- Go to Settings → Brokerages → Connect broker.
- Bridge opens the SnapTrade connection portal in a secure window.
- Pick your broker and log in on the broker's own page — your password goes to the broker, not to Bridge.
- Approve the connection. You're returned to Bridge and your account appears under Settings → Brokerages within a few seconds.
If your login exposes multiple sub-accounts, pick the one Bridge should trade — copied orders only ever go to the account you select.
What Bridge can and cannot do with the connection
- Can: read balances/positions for sizing, place and cancel the orders you've authorized through your execution mode and risk caps.
- Cannot: withdraw or transfer money, change your broker password, or touch any account you didn't connect.
Disconnecting
Settings → Brokerages → Disconnect, any time. Disconnecting immediately stops new copied orders. Positions already open at your broker remain yours to manage — closing them is up to you (or reconnect and let your exit plan resume).
Troubleshooting
- Connection shows but no orders fire: check that a leader is followed, your execution mode isn't Approve-each with an empty queue, and your daily-loss cap isn't already hit.
- Broker rejected an order for buying power: Bridge records the rejection on the position row; nothing is retried blindly. Free up buying power or lower your per-trade cap.
- Stuck on the SnapTrade portal: disable popup blockers and retry from Settings → Brokerages. If it persists, email [email protected].
