How to cancel your subscription
Last updated: 2026-08-23
You can cancel your Bridge Trading subscription at any time. We don't hide the cancel button, don't run retention sequences, don't make you talk to anyone. This page is the full process.
For refund eligibility (separate from cancellation), see the Refund Policy.
Step 1 — Cancel in your account
- Log into bridgetrading.ai.
- Click your email (top right) → Settings → Billing.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Confirm.
That's it. Cancellation is effective immediately:
- Your subscription does not auto-renew on the next billing date.
- You keep dashboard + Copy Trade access for the remainder of the current billing period (you paid for it).
- After the period ends, your account drops to the free tier. No more signal routing, no more broker-credential storage, no more Copy Trade.
Step 2 — Optional: disconnect your broker
After you cancel, your broker credentials remain encrypted in Bridge until your account is fully closed. If you want them removed earlier:
- Settings → Brokers → Disconnect.
Disconnecting: - Wipes the encrypted credential blob from Bridge's DB. - Closes any open Bridge → broker API session. - Does not cancel any orders already at the broker (Bridge can't touch them once disconnected — log into your broker directly).
Step 3 — Optional: close your Bridge account entirely
If you want your Bridge account itself deleted (not just downgraded to free tier):
- Email [SUPPORT_EMAIL] with subject
Delete my accountfrom the email address on file. - We delete within 7 days.
What "delete" means: - Your email, password hash, broker credentials, IP logs, trade history, and Bridge settings are removed from operational DBs. - Aggregated audit logs (no personal identifiers) are retained for legal-compliance reasons (typically 7 years for financial transaction records, per applicable law). - Stripe customer + invoice records are retained per Stripe's rules (also 7 years typically). - Sentry / error logs older than 30 days are auto-purged anyway.
You'll get a confirmation email when deletion completes.
Refunds vs cancellation
These are two separate things:
| Cancellation | Refund | |
|---|---|---|
| Stops future charges? | ✓ | ✓ |
| Returns past money? | ✗ | ✓ (if eligible) |
| Self-service? | ✓ | Email required |
| Time limit? | None | 7 days from first paid charge |
You can cancel any time. You can refund within 7 days. See the Refund Policy for exact rules.
What about open positions?
Cancelling your Bridge subscription does not automatically close open positions at your broker. Bridge can't act on a position it doesn't have a signal for. Your positions stay open at the broker until:
- The leader posts a close/exit signal AND you have an active subscription (won't happen if you've cancelled), OR
- You close the position manually in your broker's UI.
Practical recommendation: before cancelling, flatten open Bridge positions (either close them yourself in your broker or wait for the leader's exit signal while still subscribed). Otherwise you're left with a position you opened on someone else's signal but no longer have Bridge sizing or exit cues for.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
Not at launch. Pause functionality is on the post-launch roadmap. Until then, cancel + re-subscribe later works. No penalty for re-subscribing.
(Note: if you re-subscribe more than 30 days after cancelling, you go back to the current price — the original $500/mo first-100 founder seat is one-shot.)
